It seems like a while since anybody has seen or heard anything from Tyler, the Creator. He’s one of those characters who after releasing a body of work or project, disappears for a while and leaves us all waiting for what’s coming next.
Alongside just announcing a new album ‘Scum Fuck, Flower Boy’, and dropping tracks and videos from said album, Tyler has announced he’s collaborated with Converse on a new shoe range. This might come as quite a surprise to followers of Tyler, as previously he has collaborated with rival streetwear brand Vans on numerous shoes.
The shoe has a colour scheme that is not too dissimilar in style to Tyler’s other creations of past. Tyler has gone to work on Converse’s ‘One Star’ shoe. The upper is a “Clearwater” premium suede, which contrasts nicely against a solid white midsole and an orange outer sole. The laces come in an option of orange and white, whilst the footbeds are designed to pair with Tyler’s newest album.
As with any of Tyler’s clothing releases, these shoes will be in very limited stock, once they’re gone, they’re gone. They’ll be releasing Thursday, so if you want to get your hands on a pair before resellers start charging triple the price, make sure you head to Converse for more info. I know I’ll definitely be trying to get my hands on these!
