I recently did a photoshoot with my close friend and business partner, Adam Price. As we both have a huge passion and interest in streetwear and style as a whole, it’s always great to get together to try and bring together style and imagery.
I’ve been trying to get more active with my camera again recently, after spending months away from doing any real shooting, focusing on my writing and business.
I have for a long time been wanting to improve my abilities with shooting people and style, so I set myself the task of getting good shadows and playing around with lighting a little bit.
Knowing spots in my local town that were susceptible to good lighting, we went on the hunt around for the perfect light on the day.
It turned out that one of my favourite spots to go to actually had perfect conditions for what I was looking to capture. The local high-rise car park that’s infamously used by local photographers. The sun was shining through the car park floors and reflecting perfectly, whilst there was still plenty of shadows and darkness to offer good contrast.
It was paired perfectly with a neon green hoodie that really helped the colour in the photo pop.
As you can see with the images, I really tried my best to capture a perfect blend of contrasting light and dark, without allowing them to become oversaturated.
I’m hoping to get out and about with my camera more over the next few weeks and months, experimenting with styles, trying out some new lenses, and hopefully finding myself a style that suits how I like to shoot!
